Located in Leimert Park, one of LA’s most culturally significant Black neighborhoods, Harun Coffee is more than a café. It exists within a longstanding tradition of Black art, music, and ownership in the area.
Positioning “coffee as ritual, music as a global language, design as a bridge, and creativity as a spark,” the space grounds itself in culture rather than aesthetics alone. Rooted in the Ethiopian Buna ceremony and the broader African diaspora, Harun treats coffee as communal. Beyond the drinks, the programming reflects that purpose: DJs, live sets, educational and communal panels, and listening sessions — a “place to connect, learn, unwind, and create.”
Open daily 7 am to 4 pm, with evening hours Thursday through Sunday from 6 pm to 11 pm.
